Where to Find Comms Modules in Modern Warfare 4 DMZ

Comms modules are rare, high-tier crafting components in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4’s DMZ mode. You need them to unlock uncommon ingredient printing, increase your weapon storage and create equipment such as Fulton drop markers.

They are difficult to find before epic ingredient printing becomes available, so choosing the right areas and missions is important. Once epic printing is unlocked, you can craft additional comms modules, but reaching that point requires other rare ingredients first.

Best locations for comms modules in DMZ

Comms modules can appear in several parts of the Hajin map. The most useful locations to search are:

• The server rooms inside the Netshin Tech Complex
• The row of buildings east of Deadtown, beside the river
• DBN Headquarters inside The Grid

Search computers, server rooms and other suitable loot areas carefully. The exact spawn position can vary, so you may need to check several rooms before finding one.

Use Operation Grid Assault to reach DBN Headquarters

The Operation Grid Assault story mission is one of the most practical ways to search DBN Headquarters because it places you close to the building.

1. Start the Operation Grid Assault story mission.
2. Travel upstairs at DBN Headquarters by following the mission objective.
3. Search the rooms containing computers for a comms module.

DBN Headquarters is also close to the Netshin Tech Complex, allowing you to check both locations during the same run. If you are planning a larger arcade gaming setup for other action titles, RETROCADE’s arcade blog has more gaming coverage.

Other ways to find comms modules

Look inside downed drones across Hajin. These can contain comms modules, although the drones appear randomly around the map, so this method is less predictable.

The Cheonwang Peak Array is another possible source. However, the area is heavily defended and can be extremely difficult to clear, particularly when playing solo. It is best approached when you have the equipment and squad support needed to survive the encounter.
