Many word games reward you for spotting any valid answer. Wordeex takes a stricter approach: every successful move changes the puzzle, so vocabulary alone will not carry you to the finish.
This free-to-play puzzle game is available on iOS and Android. Each board begins with 16 letters containing between three and five hidden words. Choose a correct word and its letters disappear, leaving a new board with fewer possibilities and a different problem to solve.
The objective is exacting. Use every letter, clear the board completely and discover the one combination of words that can achieve it.
A Word Game Built Around Deduction
Wordeex asks players to think beyond the move in front of them. An answer that looks sensible on its own may remove letters needed for the only successful sequence. Conversely, a less obvious word may preserve the route to a complete solution.
One example begins with these 16 letters:
T A M E P N O R L U T A S I N E
The solution is made from MOUSE, TRAIN and PLANET. Together, those three unrelated words use every letter. Finding one word removes its letters, narrowing the board and changing which answers remain available.
That means Wordeex tests two skills at once. Vocabulary reveals the possible words, while logic determines which one should be played first. Treating it like a conventional word game can leave you with unusable letters; planning several moves ahead is the key to clearing the board.
Four Modes for Different Kinds of Play
Daily Wordeex gives everyone the same board each day. The shared puzzle creates an easy point of comparison, with players facing identical constraints and working towards the same solution.
Chapters provide a structured progression. Early puzzles introduce the board-clearing idea gently, while later challenges demand more deliberate planning. The difficulty develops alongside the mechanic rather than appearing without warning.
Academy Mode adds seasonal competition and leagues. Players rank up according to their performance, and this is the only mode that requires an internet connection.
Community Mode lets players create and share their own boards. Designing a valid puzzle is challenging because every board must have exactly one solution. That rule turns construction into a logic exercise and gives the game a growing supply of player-made challenges.
Offline Play and 27 Languages
Daily Wordeex, Community Mode and Chapters can all be played without a network connection because the puzzles load within the app. That makes them suitable for flights, train tunnels and other places where reception is unreliable.
The game supports 27 languages. Players can work in their native language or switch languages to practise one they are learning, adding another layer of challenge without changing the core rules.
Short-session puzzle games work best when they offer more than a familiar format with new artwork. Wordeex changes the central question from “What word can I find?” to “Which word keeps the next solution possible?” The board going empty is the final confirmation that the sequence was correct.
