Manni Perez has returned to social media with an 11-minute Instagram Live, giving fans a rare glimpse into her private life while remaining silent on long-running claims that she is the model or performer behind Lucia Caminos in Grand Theft Auto 6.
Rockstar Games has not officially announced the cast of Grand Theft Auto 6. Even so, sections of the fan community have spent years linking Perez, an actor and weightlifter, with one of the game’s two lead characters. The attention became so intense that the 34-year-old deleted her social media accounts in mid-2025.
Her unexpected livestream has therefore attracted considerable interest. Perez used the session to answer questions and explain why she has kept such a low profile online. She described herself as an intense introvert who may avoid social contact for a week after a brief but sustained interaction. Although delivered partly as a joke, her reluctance to be online appeared genuine.
“I’m not a fan of social media, but for the work that I do, unfortunately, we need it,” Perez said.
She also said she does not consider herself photogenic and dislikes showing her face, which helps explain why she rarely posts photographs or videos about her work. Perez did not confirm or deny the Lucia speculation, and she never said the words “GTA 6” during the broadcast.

Thousands of viewers posted comments about Lucia and Grand Theft Auto 6, but Perez avoided discussing either subject. That silence has encouraged further speculation. It could simply reflect her frustration with years of questions, although some fans believe a confidentiality agreement may prevent her from speaking about the project before Rockstar makes an announcement.
The livestream began with Perez challenging another assumption: that she is wealthy because of her apparent connection to a major game. She said she is not a millionaire and described herself as an ordinary person who still buys her own groceries, cooks, cleans, does laundry and drives a small used sedan.
“I am not rich, people,” Perez said. “I ain’t no millionaire … I’m a regular person.”
Perez said she grew up in a lower-middle-class family in a “rednecky hick town”. Her household was strict about avoiding air conditioning and heating, and she recalled times when the family could not afford meat. Meals included scrambled eggs with white rice and ketchup, or black beans with tomato slices and ketchup.
She also mentioned that green is her favourite colour and that she would like a truck as her next vehicle. While she offered few details about her current work, she assured viewers that she remains busy.
“I am out and about regularly—like, I do stuff, and things,” Perez said with a smile. Fans immediately interpreted the deliberately vague comment as another possible hint about Grand Theft Auto 6, but it was not confirmation.
