One Piece is officially coming to Fortnite as part of the upcoming Treasure Hunters mini-season, confirming one of the game’s most requested anime collaborations.
Fortnite Chapter 7 Season 4 ends on November 1, when scheduled downtime will make way for the new event. Treasure Hunters is expected to run for about one month before the next full chapter begins.
Epic Games had spent the days before the announcement building interest around a major reveal on October 24 at 2pm ET. Earlier clues pointed towards a pirate-themed, anime-inspired season centred on treasure hunting, while rumours increasingly suggested a crossover with One Piece.
Fortnite Treasure Hunters reveal confirms One Piece
A teaser released shortly before the reveal gave the new season its name: Treasure Hunters. An in-game news image also displayed several pirate crew logos, linked to characters and performers including Peely, A$AP Rocky, Hatsune Miku, Kasane Teto and Lil Uzi Vert.
The full announcement then confirmed that One Piece will be part of the next Fortnite season. Fortnite shared the season name in a short teaser before the larger reveal went live.
The Going Merry points to the anime crossover
The reveal features the Going Merry, the first ship sailed by the Straw Hat Pirates, appearing through the fog. Its inclusion confirms that the collaboration is based on the One Piece anime rather than the Netflix live-action adaptation.
That distinction can be seen in the ship’s figurehead, which differs slightly from the version shown in the live-action series. The anime connection also fits the style of the characters shown in earlier promotional clues.
Players can expect Treasure Hunters to begin on Sunday, November 1, after the scheduled downtime. Until then, there is still time to complete the current Battle Pass before Chapter 7 Season 4 ends.
What the crossover means for Fortnite players
Epic has not provided further collaboration details in the supplied announcement, so specific characters, cosmetics and gameplay features remain unconfirmed. The reveal does establish that One Piece content is coming during the pirate-themed mini-season.
