Adamantite is a valuable mid- and late-game resource in Final Fantasy Resonance. Its purpose is not explained especially clearly, but you can take it to Aileen, a master weaponsmith, and exchange it for powerful character weapons.

How to use Adamantite
Adamantite is exchanged for the second-best weapon available to most characters. You must first recruit Aileen by completing the side quest Forger of Wills, which becomes available in Dilmagia from Chapter 5.
After completing the quest, Aileen moves onto your airship. Leave through the large central doors and look to the left side of the deck to find her. From Chapter 6 onwards, speak with her, choose the character who should receive the weapon, and she will provide it in exchange for Adamantite.
Adamantite weapon list
- Rain — Save the Vermillion: 179 physical attack and 93 magic attack. Reduces damage from physical and magic attacks by 20%.
- Lasswell — Shisui: 197 physical attack and 148 magic attack. Grants Hone Senses and Placidity for five turns at the beginning of battle.
- Fina — Elysium: 114 physical attack, 162 magic attack and 141 sanctity. Increases healing-magic potency by 20%.
- Lid — Mechabo Hammer Super: 142 physical attack and 133 magic attack. Grants Overclock and lets the wielder act first at the beginning of battle.
- Nichol — Codex Providentiae: 106 physical attack, 181 magic attack and 169 sanctity. Grants Tactic: Fluid Warfare for three turns and lets the wielder act first at the beginning of battle.
- Jake — Caelum Renatum: 222 physical attack and 88 magic attack. Raises lucky level by eight at the beginning of battle and restores 2% of maximum MP when damage is dealt with a standard attack.
- Sakura — Roselia: 154 physical attack and 204 magic attack. Grants Concentrate for three turns and Sage’s Eye for four turns at the beginning of battle.
- Archwitch Fina — Abyss: 130 physical attack and 178 magic attack. Extends the duration of debuffs and status ailments inflicted by the wielder by two turns.
Spend your earliest Adamantite on characters you use most often, since some later sources are inconvenient to reach. Every character can eventually obtain an even stronger weapon through other optional content, but these weapons are powerful enough to complete the game.
All Adamantite locations
There are eight Adamantite in total, enough to obtain a weapon for every listed character. Most appear during the latter half of the game, with several requiring the airship or later story progress.
Oblivion Palace
Turn in tablet shards at Oblivion Palace to receive two Adamantite. The first is awarded at 80 shards, while the second arrives at 89 shards.
Olderion
After upgrading the scanner on your airship, scan the bay on the northern side of Olderion to collect this Adamantite.
Merchant Ship
The roaming merchant ship sells one Adamantite for 35,000 gil. Its appearances are somewhat random, so watch the water while exploring. Adamantite should be the first item offered for sale.
Rugged Mountain Path, Gronoa
Look for a chest directly along the route through this dungeon. The Adamantite is not hidden off the main path.
Colosseum, Grandshelt
Three Adamantite are awarded for completing Colosseum rounds: Fledgling Battle 2, Brawler Battle 2 and Brawler Battle 3. To reach the Colosseum, travel to Grandshelt and head left from the main plaza.
