Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim is now live in The Elder Scrolls Online, returning players to Skyrim while adding free access to two previously paid DLC releases for everyone who owns the base game.

Available on Mac, PlayStation, Windows PC and Xbox, the season runs until January 27, 2027. Bethesda has added the Greymoor Chapter and Wolfhunter DLC to the base game, so players can explore their content without buying either expansion separately. The official announcement is available in the Season Two: Echoes of Skyrim details.

What Echoes of Skyrim adds

Greymoor is the main attraction for fans of Skyrim. Its content opens up Western Skyrim, including the city of Solitude and the underground world of Blackreach. The Chapter also includes a dedicated storyline, the Antiquities system and Kyne’s Aegis, a 12-player Trial.

Markarth, which concludes the Dark Heart of Skyrim storyline, will be added to the base game on November 9.

Solo dungeon options and Wolfhunter content

Players who prefer a solo experience can tackle new versions of Moon Hunter Keep and March of Sacrifices. Both dungeons use Hircine-themed challenges, offer selectable difficulty levels and include new rewards.

The original four-player versions are also available through the free Wolfhunter addition, giving groups another way to approach the same content.

Rewards and seasonal events

The new Tamriel Tome provides free and premium reward tracks containing collectibles, currencies and items including the Maarselok Slayer Mammoth mount. The Gold Coast Bazaar has also received a refreshed selection of returning rewards.

Seasonal activities include the Witches Festival, Whitestrake’s Mayhem and the New Life Festival. Additional content is planned during the season, including Skyrim-themed and Nowhere Vault-themed Golden Pursuits campaigns.

January’s Update 52 changes

Update 52 is scheduled for January 19. Its quality-of-life improvements include higher furnishing limits for selected homes, more Companion customisation options and an optional new minimap interface.

For Australians revisiting Tamriel, this is a substantial return point rather than a small event refresh: Greymoor, Wolfhunter and further seasonal activities are bundled into the base-game experience. It also gives players a way to revisit Skyrim while waiting for The Elder Scrolls 6.
