Cyberpunk: Edgerunners is returning to the trading-card table with Burn Bright, a new set for the Cyberpunk Trading Card Game. The release follows the anime’s second season and arrives alongside renewed interest in the wider Cyberpunk universe.

For collectors who follow gaming merchandise and industry arcade news, the set offers a new way to engage with characters from the series. It will launch through retailers next spring, although the complete card list has not yet been shown.

Burn Bright will be available in English and French at launch, with a Chinese-language release planned for a later date. The set will include foil and textured cards, as well as an entirely new chase rarity that WeirdCo plans to reveal in the future.

New mechanics are coming to Burn Bright

WeirdCo has also confirmed that the second set will introduce new gameplay mechanics. Specific details are being held back for announcements in the months ahead, so players will need to wait for a closer look at how the additions change the game.

WeirdCo co-founder Elliot Cook said the community response to the trading card game had been exceptionally strong. He added that the Edgerunners licence gives the team room to develop the game both mechanically and artistically.

Pre-release tournaments are scheduled for the week before the official launch. These events will give players an opportunity to compete, meet other fans and open packs containing cards from the Edgerunners set.

The card is part of Burn Bright, which expands the trading card game beyond its original Cyberpunk 2077 focus. Fans who display physical game collections may also want to explore arcade machines or space-saving bartop arcades for a dedicated gaming setup.

Cyberpunk Trading Card Game launch details

The Cyberpunk Trading Card Game was funded through Kickstarter, where its campaign had raised more than $28 million by the time it ended in April.

The first set, Welcome to Night City, is scheduled to arrive in stores on November 6. That opening release features several characters from Cyberpunk 2077, while Burn Bright will bring the animated series into the card game’s expanding roster.
