The Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4 mission “Following Orders” casts you as a North Korean soldier hunting for a defector. During the interrogation of the first family, you can find a locked container in the house that provides another way to pressure the husband.

The lockbox is in a small side bedroom and is the only locked container in this mission. Its combination is hidden in a pantry note, and the code is 214.

Where to find the lockbox code

Search the leftmost cupboard in the pantry for a note titled “baekseolgi-tteok recipe”. It lists four ingredients with their quantities:

• 2kg rice flour
• 5mL salt
• 1L water
• 4 packs of golden raisins

The note tells you to leave out the salt. Once that ingredient is removed, the remaining quantities are 2, 1 and 4, giving you the three-digit lockbox combination.

What the lockbox contains

Return to the small side bedroom and enter 214. Inside, you will find medicine classified as contraband in North Korea.

The medicine is not essential for obtaining the information about the defector. However, once you have found it, you can ask the husband about the contents. He pleads to keep the medicine because he needs it to survive.

How to proceed after opening the container

Confront the husband and ask for the defector’s location. He explains that the defector escaped to the abandoned house next door. Ko then leaves, completing your objectives at the first home.
