Castlevania: Belmont’s Curse hides the route to the top of the Prison Tower behind a carpenter’s crane. This guide explains where to find the crane, how to open its door and how to reach the Warrior boss.

The Prison Tower is on the Paris Streets map. From the Gate to the Catacombs, travel north, then head west. You can explore much of the tower, but the entrance to the Roof of the Tower is blocked until you activate the hidden crane.
This guide uses screenshots captured from a build that was still in development at the time of writing.
Finding the spirit in the Upper Tower
Make your way to the western side of the Upper Tower. Swing west using the two yellow anchors, then climb to the platform with the lever. A spirit is positioned above this area, but reaching it requires taking the trapped route on the left.

Jump quickly between the walls as you climb. At the top, swing across to the small platform in the room’s left corner. You can also break the wall on the right to uncover a defence up collectible.

Drop from the small platform and time your whip so you are pulled towards the purple anchor on the left. From there, swing to the purple anchor on the right and continue towards the spirit.

Speak to the spirit to receive a sketch showing the carpenter’s crane. It identifies the anchor that opens the crane’s door and indicates where the mechanism can be found, although the map takes some interpretation.
Where to find the carpenter’s crane
The crane is in the north-eastern section of the Prison Tower map. Return to the lower part of the tower and reach the level containing the Mirror of Life room.

Travel west. Before entering the tower, use the purple anchor to leap from the wall to a yellow anchor. Swing back towards the tower, then reach the higher purple anchor and jump onto the platform.

To your right, look for a yellow anchor. Whip across to it, then continue right to another yellow anchor with a wooden hexagon above it.
Opening the crane and reaching the boss
- Use the yellow anchor beside the platform.
- Swing to the yellow anchor marked by the wooden hexagon.
- Swing from that anchor three times to open the crane door.
- Ride the crane to the door leading to the Roof of the Tower.
Passing through the roof entrance brings you to the Warrior, one of the early bosses fought to open the route into the catacombs.
