A preview of Grand Theft Auto 6 has sparked an unexpectedly specific question: does Jason appear fully nude during the game’s shower scene?
IGN interviewed Rockstar Head of Development and Co-Studio Head Rob Nelson about the upcoming open-world crime game. During the demonstration, the presentation switched from Lucia’s perspective to Jason while he was taking a shower.
The written preview described Jason as naked, but did not explain whether the game showed anything below the waist. That left room for plenty of speculation, particularly because earlier leaks indicated that GTA 6 includes full-frontal nudity. Those leaks did not establish whether the same treatment applied to the playable protagonists.
For players following the game’s development, the question is a reminder that small details can dominate the conversation around a major release. Rockstar’s presentation also highlights how the game can shift between its two playable characters while the other is already engaged in an activity.
Attempts to clarify the scene produced mixed results. A former colleague contacted the writer who saw the demonstration, but she was on holiday. Another request was sent to Rockstar, with no response reported at the time.
A separate group from Kinda Funny also discussed the question during a livestream. However, its members had seen a different demo and did not encounter a naked Jason. The relevant discussion begins at 33:40:
That distinction matters: one preview included a shower transition in which Jason was described as naked, while another demonstration apparently did not show the same moment. Fans subsequently amplified the limited information online, including speculation based on the available details and posts circulating the information.
Update: Jason’s nudity has been confirmed
On October 7, 2026, the preview writer clarified that she did not actually see Jason’s genitals during the demonstration. That meant the original account did not confirm full frontal nudity for the playable character.
A further update on October 8, 2026 changed the answer. A new Cyberleak video showed that players can walk around naked, confirming that Jason can appear fully nude in Grand Theft Auto 6. The precise circumstances of the scene remain separate from the earlier preview, but the broader question now has a confirmed answer.
