Percy Jackson Comes to Netflix Before Season 3

Percy Jackson gets a temporary Netflix release

Percy Jackson and the Olympians has been exclusive to Disney+ since its 2023 debut. That changes briefly in the lead-up to season 3, giving Australian viewers another way to catch up with the Rick Riordan adaptation.

Under a new Disney licensing agreement, the first two seasons will arrive on Netflix for all subscribers from 4 October 2026. The move is promotional rather than permanent: the series is scheduled to remain on Netflix for three months before season 3 premieres on 20 November 2026.

As Variety reports, the wider deal also brings Disney films and television shows to Netflix. The first two seasons of Percy Jackson and the Olympians adapt The Lightning Thief and The Sea of Monsters, the first two books in Riordan’s series.

The same 4 October release date applies to the Ice Age films, ahead of Ice Age: Boiling Point in February 2027. Netflix will also receive titles including Will Trent, Soul, Elio, Revenge and Fresh Off the Boat.

What season 3 will cover

The third season adapts The Titan’s Curse. It marks new ground for the television series: unlike the first two books, which were previously adapted by 20th Century Fox, the third novel has not received an earlier screen adaptation.

The story follows Percy on a quest to find Annabeth and the missing goddess Artemis. It will also introduce Nico and Bianca di Angelo, siblings who become important figures throughout the remainder of the series.
