Control Resonant hides a mysterious dog in several zones, and each one needs the same teal dinosaur toy with purple spots. Returning the toys helps complete the “Every Dog Has Her Day” side story quest.

This guide covers the known locations and the movement abilities needed to reach each dog and toy. The dog is usually near a Chowrap billboard, which provides a useful visual clue.

How to identify the dog toys

Every toy has the same appearance: a teal dinosaur covered in purple spots. When searching, look for a Chowrap billboard. These signs can be seen from the dog’s position and point towards the nearby toy.

Once you collect a toy, return it to the dog’s bed. Some locations require abilities such as Rush, Elevate, air dodge, Shift or Reach.

In Downtown, the toy is on the rooftop directly across the street from the mysterious dog. Face southeast from the dog and look for the dinosaur. Use Rush, Elevate and an air dodge to reach the roof, then place the toy in the dog’s bed.

West Incursion Zone dog toy location

The dog sits on the roof of a sideways building northwest of the parking garage. First, complete the fault in the parking garage to unlock Shift, which allows you to travel across sideways and upside-down buildings and roads.

From the dog, look south for the Chowrap billboard. The toy is to the left of the sign, resting on top of a rooftop air-conditioning unit. Collect it and carry it back to the bed.

Evacuation Zone dog toy location

Complete the Subway fault in the zone’s north-east corner to unlock Reach. This ability lets you propel yourself towards the light-bending orbs positioned above buildings.

Travel to the street north of the fast-travel door and vendor, then use Reach to get onto the rooftop.

The toy is on that same rooftop. Pick it up and look above the red-lit area to locate the dog. If you already have Shift from the West Incursion Zone, jump and swap across to the other roof.

Reach cannot be used while carrying the toy. If you do not have Shift, go up the ramp below the dog and jump towards the bed. There is a short opportunity to drop the toy into it.

Central dog toy location

In the south-east corner of Central, the dog is on the roof of a building marked by a Chowrap billboard.

Look into the laser-filled alleyway to find another Chowrap billboard. The dinosaur toy is directly underneath it.

After collecting the toy, leave the alley and return to the roof by jumping across the wooden scaffolding and then the suspended platform. Reach cannot be used while holding the toy. Place it in the bed and pet the dog.

The Park dog toy location

The Park dog is in the north-east corner. Teleport to the Mold Factory fast-travel door, then cross the rooftops heading north-east.

The toy is across the street to the east, near an elevator and a Chowrap billboard. The elevator is too high to reach normally, but there are two routes:

  • Use the power block in the car park south-west of the dog to activate the elevator.
  • Use the ramp on the building south of the dog to glide across with Extended Rush.

For the power-block route, hit the block and use Reach to reach the north-eastern building. Run to the elevator, strike the block with your weapon and call the elevator down.

For the ramp route, sprint-jump from the edge while Rush is active. When you begin to lose height, air dodge forwards twice. This should bring you close enough to grab the elevator, although it may take several attempts.

Take the toy back across, put it in the dog’s bed and pet her.

Underpass dog toy location

Go to the cable car and use Reach to land on the pillar attached to it. Jump across the teleporting platforms to the next pillar.

Look north for another Reach point, use it to reach the next pillar and continue around its northern side. Look north again for a further Reach point, then follow it to the dog.

The toy is on the ceiling. You can follow the red-carpeted path behind the dog, or jump onto the white rectangular box north-west of the dog, leap upwards and use Shift to reach the ceiling.

Pick up the toy, jump as high as possible and drop it so it lands near the dog. Look south for a Reach point, return to the dog’s surface and place the toy in the bed.
