Bitter leaves are needed for Leda’s “Popular Drink Recipes” perform quest in Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave. The material is not especially rare, but it can only be collected from four specific nodes scattered across the map.

Several of these gathering spots are a long way from Dagsion, so check your remaining turns before setting out. Fast travel and unlocked posthouses can make the journey much easier.

All bitter leaf locations

There are four nodes where bitter leaves can be gathered. Each location is listed below with the quickest useful route and any additional materials or activities nearby.

Traveler’s Garden

Traveler’s Garden is in the northeast corner of the map, within the Castalia region. It is one of the more accessible options for players in the early areas, although reaching it takes longer if the Eochaid Posthouse has not been unlocked.

Once Eochaid Posthouse is available, the trip to the node takes only a few turns, making Traveler’s Garden a practical choice for collecting the ingredient quickly.

Cape Nereus

Across the map in the Solidus region is the Cape Nereus node. It provides bitter leaves as well as pepper leaves, so it is useful if you need both ingredients.

If you have already explored Solidus, take a carriage to Aragona Posthouse for the fastest approach to Cape Nereus.

Forest of No Return

Travel south from the desert to reach Pasithea. The Forest of No Return node is in the region’s western area and yields both bitter leaves and pepper leaves.

Expect several battles on the way. The detour can still be worthwhile because the route also brings you near Breston, Whill and Nemea Cavern. Breston and Whill are useful for buying gifts and weapons, while Nemea Cavern provides an opportunity to level up your characters. Use Chiron Posthouse as your travel point for the forest.

Maharipa Garden

The fourth option is Maharipa Garden in Ogmios. Start by travelling south towards Salacia Posthouse, if it is available, then continue east. Pass Megaira and the Grania Stronghold; once you reach Fort Zanbar, head north to the garden.

Maharipa Garden is particularly valuable because it is the only location in the game where you can find wonder leaves.

How to complete Popular Drink Recipes

Choose any one of the four nodes and collect a pack of bitter leaves. You must deliver it to the Tavern Owner by 11/27 while following Leda’s path.

Completing the request rewards you with 200 renown points, unlocks new drinks and grants Song of Passion+, which upgrades one of Leda’s skills.

Plan the trip around your available turns, especially when travelling from Dagsion to the more distant regions.

More Fortune’s Weave guidance

Fortune’s Weave is a large game with branching paths of causality. Other useful decisions include choosing your first character, changing heroes and deciding between casual and classic mode.

The campaign’s length also depends on how you spend time between the initial Heroic Games matches. Recruiting more characters, unlocking Boons of Salvation and using free time effectively can help your progress. Remember to visit the Perch for a Bird Time session.
