Grand Theft Auto 6 is taking an unusual approach to physical media. The game is expected to ship in a box containing download codes rather than a traditional game disc, while its original soundtrack is receiving both CD and vinyl editions.
The soundtrack will launch alongside the game on 19 November, with releases planned for streaming services, stores, CD and a special-edition vinyl pressing. It expands on the series’ long-running use of licensed music with a substantial collection of songs created for the new crime drama.
Several tracks have been released to promote the album:
The complete album will contain 34 tracks. Two vinyl records will be exclusive to the game’s official site, while retailers such as Best Buy will offer their own original variants.

The music is designed to cover several sides of the game’s tone. Some selections reflect the violence, action and excess associated with the series, while others appear focused on the relationship between protagonists Jason and Lucia.
That track in particular could suit a quieter, reflective moment after a major argument between the two characters, perhaps with Jason driving and considering his behaviour. However, only six songs have been revealed so far, leaving 28 tracks still to be announced before the 19 November release.
