Solo Leveling: Karma is set to explore one of the biggest unseen chapters in Sung Jinwoo’s story: the 27-year war he fought in the Dimensional Gap.
The upcoming roguelite action RPG was presented at Tokyo Game Show 2026 with both cinematic and gameplay trailers. Developed by Netmarble, it is planned for Windows PC, iOS and Android, with a 2026 release window but no confirmed launch date.

A new story set between the finale and the epilogue
Solo Leveling began as a Korean fantasy web novel by Chugong before becoming a hugely successful webtoon and an anime produced by A-1 Pictures. After two anime seasons and a follow-up film in development, Karma offers another way to expand the franchise while the next on-screen release remains undated.
The game takes place after Jinwoo wins the final war but chooses to reverse time to prevent the destruction and loss caused by it. He enters the Dimensional Gap and battles the Monarchs before they can bring further chaos to Earth. Although 27 years pass for Jinwoo, just two years elapse on Earth.
When Jinwoo eventually returns, he reunites with his family and friends. That happy ending leaves a substantial part of his life unexplored, and Solo Leveling: Karma is designed to tell that missing chapter.
What the trailers reveal about Karma
The story trailer shows players guiding Jinwoo through the Dimensional Gap as he continues his campaign against the Monarchs. The setting gives the game room to introduce conflicts and encounters that were not shown in the original story.
Chugong supervised the game’s narrative and provided feedback on its characters and dialogue. Netmarble’s Jin Sung-gun said this process was intended to preserve Jinwoo’s distinctive tone, the world’s bleak rules and the atmosphere established by the original work. The project will also feature numerous original characters.
More details about the story and development approach are discussed in an interview with Inven Global.

Roguelite combat built around progression
Netmarble says it has focused on responsive combat and on making the roguelite structure feel less repetitive. Runs and changing encounters are intended to support the series’ central appeal: the excitement of becoming stronger through levelling up.

Platforms and release timing
Solo Leveling: Karma is scheduled to launch during 2026 on Windows PC, iOS and Android mobile devices. Netmarble has not announced a specific release date, so further details will be needed before the launch window can be narrowed down.
