Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton has moved from its planned 2026 launch to 2027. The delay was confirmed in the latest trailer for the crossover game from poncle, the studio behind Vampire Survivors.

The revised window also places the game in the same year that the next season of the Jujutsu Kaisen anime is expected to arrive. The title was first revealed in June and is being developed as a fast-moving online survival competition.

How Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble works

The game’s Steam description presents it as a survivors-style battle royale. Players fight cursed spirits and rival contestants, collect experience, improve their loadout and attempt to remain in the match until the final confrontation.

Matches support up to eight online players, while a solo mode is also included. The design combines the escalating upgrades of Vampire Survivors with the elimination format of a battle royale, creating a structure that closely echoes the anime’s Culling Games arc.

There is also a direct connection to that storyline. Once a player reaches 100 points, they can introduce a new rule intended to disrupt opponents and change the flow of the match.

Characters, bosses and cursed techniques

The trailer shows Yuji, Nobara, Megumi, Maki, Choso, Gojo and Yuta among the playable cast. More than 20 fighters are planned in total.

Several major enemies also appear, including Jogo, Geto and Mahito. These bosses can enter during a round, adding another threat while players are already dealing with waves of cursed spirits and competing fighters.

Each character can use distinctive cursed techniques after filling the ability meter shown on the left side of the screen. These attacks are designed to clear groups of enemies, while defeating standard foes awards experience that can improve the character and unlock additional skills for the current round.

What the delay could mean

The footage suggests a game built around repeated, escalating rounds rather than a traditional one-on-one fighter. That makes its progression system and the interaction between character abilities, upgrades and player-created rules central to the experience.

For Australian players following the project, the key update is simple: Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton is now expected in 2027 rather than 2026. No more specific release date is given in the supplied announcement.

The project is worth watching because poncle’s involvement brings proven experience with compact, highly replayable survival systems. The extra development time may give the studio room to refine the multiplayer balance, boss encounters and large cast before launch.
