Make Some Noise season 5 is bringing Vic Michaelis back to the Dropout improv comedy series, following their absence from season 4 while they were reportedly overseas filming Ponies.
Although Game Changer season 8 is coming to an end, Sam Reich’s chaotic brand of comedy will continue. The new 15-episode season of Make Some Noise premieres on Monday, 5 October, with fresh episodes arriving fortnightly.
Vic Michaelis returns for season 5
Michaelis, the host of Very Important People, appears in at least two episodes of the upcoming season. One episode pairs them with Kimia Behpoornia and Ally Beardsley, while another features Jiavani and Jeremy Culhane.
The returning performer is expected to bring plenty of unpredictable energy to the set, including more opportunities to unsettle Reich. Fans following the latest arcade and gaming news may appreciate the same kind of spontaneous chaos that makes a great multiplayer session memorable.
A familiar improv format
Make Some Noise takes inspiration from the format of Whose Line Is It Anyway?. Performers are given prompts and challenges they have not seen in advance, then improvise their way through each scenario.
Pete Holmes returns to tease Reich, while Demi Adejuyigbe, Kurt Maloney and Elaine Carroll take on guest-host duties in selected episodes.
More Dropout regulars join the cast
The season 5 line-up also includes Lisa Gilroy, Paul F. Tompkins, Jacob Wysocki, Anna Garcia, Lou Wilson and Siobhan Thompson. Ben Schwartz, known as the voice of Sonic the Hedgehog, is set to return for a third consecutive season.
The Noise Boys—Brennan Lee Mulligan, Zac Oyama and Josh Ruben—will appear together in at least one episode. Their shared appearances remain a central part of the show’s ensemble appeal.
