Warcraft 3: Reforged has given its community a fresh mystery: two hidden bonus levels are concealed somewhere in the newly released Forsaken Kingdom campaign, and neither has been publicly uncovered yet.
Brad Chan, a senior manager working on Warcraft and Warcraft 3: Reforged, revealed the surprise at the end of a recent interview. He said players would need to complete several unspecified actions to unlock the bonus content.
Two hidden levels remain undiscovered
Chan provided no clues about the levels’ design, their unlock conditions or the material they contain. The only confirmed detail is that both can be found within the Forsaken Kingdom campaign, which launched yesterday at the conclusion of BlizzCon’s opening ceremonies.
Almost two days after release, the development team had still not seen anyone post evidence of finding the levels. Chan said he was watching for the first player to reveal that they had located and completed the hidden content.
Chan challenged players to be the first to finish everything in the campaign, making it clear that the search is now an open challenge to the community.
What could the bonus content contain?
With no official hints, the possibilities remain open. The levels could be light-hearted bonus stages in the tradition of Diablo’s famous cow level, or they could expand the game’s story with additional lore. At this stage, neither possibility has been confirmed.
Further discussion with Chan and game director Ion Hazzikostas was expected to provide more information, but the location of the two stages and the method for unlocking them remained secret at the time of the reveal.
