Persona 6 is set to receive a physical release on Nintendo Switch 2, meaning the upcoming Atlus and Sega RPG will not be limited to a physical PlayStation 5 edition.
Switch 2 joins the physical release plans
The announcement formed part of a September Nintendo Direct presentation featuring new game reveals and trailers. Sega later published platform details on its official website, confirming that Switch 2 players will be able to buy Persona 6 on a physical game card.
Sega’s earlier Persona 6 information had indicated that the physical version would be exclusive to PlayStation 5. That wording has since been removed. The current announcement page no longer lists physical editions, while the Switch 2 product page identifies physical copies for both PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2.
What remains unknown about Xbox
The update does not confirm a boxed Xbox release. At present, it is still unclear whether Persona 6 will receive a physical edition for Xbox Series X.
This information appeared on Sega’s Japanese website. Xbox has a smaller market presence in Japan than PlayStation or Nintendo, which could make a Japanese physical release less likely. However, that does not rule out a physical version for players in other regions at a later date.
