Noah Jupe joins the mystery surrounding Secret Wars
With Avengers: Doomsday due in cinemas within the next few months, attention is already turning to its follow-up, Avengers: Secret Wars. Marvel Studios has revealed very little about the 2027 film’s cast, keeping plot details under wraps to avoid confirming who survives Doomsday, who does not, and which surprise appearances may follow.
A new report from Deadline has now provided an unofficial casting update: British actor Noah Jupe is reportedly part of the sixth Avengers film. His role has not been disclosed, although the report says he is expected to be important to the story.
Jupe is recognised for playing Marcus Abbott, the son of Emily Blunt and John Krasinski’s characters in the A Quiet Place films. His other credits include Hamnet, directed by Eternals filmmaker Chloé Zhao, in which he played Hamlet, as well as the Tom Hiddleston series The Night Manager. He also recently appeared with Sadie Sink in the West End production of Romeo & Juliet.
That growing list of co-stars includes several actors connected with Marvel, giving fans plenty of material for speculation:
- Hugh Jackman, who plays Wolverine, in The Death of Robin Hood
- Natalie Portman, known in the MCU as Jane Foster and Thor, in Lady in the Lake
- Tom Hiddleston, who plays Loki, in The Night Manager
- Sadie Sink, announced as Jean Grey, in Romeo & Juliet
- Michael Douglas, who plays Hank Pym, in Franklin
- John Krasinski, who plays Reed Richards, in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness
- Christian Bale, who plays Gorr the God Butcher, in Ford v Ferrari
Who could Noah Jupe play?
There is no official confirmation of Jupe’s character, but the most prominent fan theory casts him as Franklin Richards, the son of Reed Richards and Sue Storm. Franklin is a newborn in The Fantastic Four: First Steps. Since T’Challa II from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever appears to be ageing within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, some fans believe Franklin could undergo a similar change.
Jupe is 21, which has also encouraged theories that he could be among Marvel Studios’ new generation of X-Men. At D23 in August, Marvel confirmed Sadie Sink’s return as Jean Grey, alongside Kit Connor as Cyclops, Inde Navarrette as Rogue and Maya Boyd as Storm. Christopher Abbott is set to lead the team as Charles Xavier. Jupe’s age and profile would fit the group, prompting guesses that he might play Nightcrawler, Iceman or Wolverine.
Other possibilities include an alternate-universe version of Tony Stark or Nathaniel “Nate” Richards, better known in the comics as Iron Lad. More ambitious theories suggest Molecule Man or the Beyonder, two major figures associated with the Secret Wars comics. Those characters would represent a much more elaborate direction, however, and Marvel may choose a simpler screen interpretation of the well-known storyline.
Until Marvel confirms the role, Jupe’s casting remains a mystery rather than proof of any particular X-Men or Fantastic Four connection.

Marvel’s direction should become clearer as the studio confirms more of the cast and story. Avengers: Secret Wars is scheduled to reach Australian cinemas and other theatres on 17 December 2027.
