Mewgenics could be heading to Xbox Series X earlier than expected, after a store listing briefly displayed a September release date. The timing may line up with a Gamescom Opening Night Live announcement.
Xbox listing points to a September launch
The Xbox store page appeared ahead of an official announcement on 23 August, with the listing indicating a 8 September release for Xbox Series X. It also stated that the console version would include 53 achievements.
The date has since disappeared from the store page, but the listing still indicates that Nicalis is publishing Mewgenics on Microsoft’s console. The Xbox store listing remains the clearest sign that the port is close.

Gamescom may provide confirmation
Mewgenics creator Edmund McMillen teased an announcement connected to Gamescom Opening Night Live the previous week. That makes the Xbox port a plausible part of the showcase, although no confirmation has been given.
The event is scheduled to air on 25 August. It may also reveal additional versions for PlayStation or Nintendo platforms, or announce new content for Mewgenics, but those possibilities remain unconfirmed.
