Avengers: Endgame Encore runtime confirmed
Avengers: Endgame is returning to cinemas ahead of Avengers: Doomsday, with a small amount of new material designed to connect the two Marvel films. The encore screening is scheduled for 25 September, while Avengers: Doomsday is slated for release on 18 December.
How long is Endgame Encore?
Listings from AMC Theatres give Avengers: Endgame Encore a total runtime of 185 minutes — three hours and five minutes.
The original 2019 film runs for 181 minutes, so the re-release adds four minutes. That makes this version the longest Marvel Cinematic Universe film released to date. Whether four additional minutes justify another trip to the cinema will depend on how much value viewers place on the new connection to Doomsday.

What will the new scenes show?
The added footage was filmed during production on Avengers: Doomsday and is intended to bridge that film with Endgame. No specific details about the scenes have been confirmed, leaving the nature of the connection unclear.
That approach may raise questions about the importance of the Marvel stories released since 2018, particularly if the new material places heavy emphasis on the earlier saga finale.
Director Joe Russo previously described the re-release as “critically important”. He explained that re-releasing a film involves significant cost, but that the opportunity to extend the story of Doomsday through the characters developed across years of Marvel films was unusual and valuable.
There is speculation that the extra material could involve Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. Trailers for Doomsday have highlighted Evans’ return, while Steve Rogers’ last MCU appearance came at the conclusion of Endgame. If that guess proves correct, the new footage could appear near the end of the film, potentially followed by a post-credits message confirming that Steve Rogers will return in Avengers: Doomsday. Marvel has not confirmed this.
