Angela Sant’Albano appears set to take the lead role in Tides of Annihilation after Jennifer English left the project for personal health reasons.

A new lead for Eclipse Glow Games’ Arthurian RPG
Tides of Annihilation is an upcoming action RPG inspired by Arthurian legend. The game originally cast Jennifer English, known for Baldur’s Gate 3 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, in its leading role.
Eclipse Glow Games announced in July that English would step away from the project because of “personal health reasons”. The studio also said she would remain involved as an adviser.

The apparent replacement is Angela Sant’Albano, who plays Grace Ashcroft in Resident Evil Requiem. That performance has made her a prominent name around one of 2026’s anticipated Game of the Year conversations.
Earlier this year, Sant’Albano described Grace as a character who could help people see themselves as heroes. She noted that everyone faces a “monster” in some form, even when there is no zombie pursuing them through a corridor.

Jennifer Prime points to Sant’Albano’s involvement
Footage from Tides of Annihilation has circulated online in recent days. The material may be connected to a demo expected to be playable at Gamescom the following week, although that possibility has not been confirmed in the supplied information.
Motion-capture actor Jennifer Prime shared a clip on her X account. A repost described Grace Ashcroft as the game’s new voice actor, and Prime confirmed this herself with “Yep!!!”.

At the time of publication, Eclipse Glow Games had not formally announced who would replace English. The developer’s most recent post on X remained its July statement about English leaving the starring role and continuing as an adviser.
What to expect from Tides of Annihilation

The game combines action-RPG combat with influences that resemble a Soulslike and Final Fantasy 16. Players follow Gwendolyn through the ruins of a post-apocalyptic London as she searches for the Holy Grail and her missing sister.
Her journey brings her into contact with knights drawn from Arthurian mythology. Eclipse Glow Games has not announced a release date. The confirmed platforms are PlayStation 5, Windows PC and Xbox Series X.
