Air skills in Forza Horizon 6 are earned when your car briefly leaves the ground. They can also appear as objectives in the Festival Playlist, including the summer daily challenge in the “Horizon Mascot Party” series, which asks you to earn three.
The requirement is simpler than it may sound. You do not need a spectacular stunt, a particular vehicle or a complicated trick. Find a suitable bump, carry enough speed and get all four wheels off the ground.
How to earn air skills in Forza Horizon 6
An air skill registers when a jump launches your car into the air. The jump only needs to be small, provided every wheel leaves the surface. The game distinguishes a jump from a simple drop, so driving off a bridge or another tall ledge does not count in testing.
Most uneven roads can produce an air skill if you approach the rise quickly enough. For a reliable route, head to the rice paddies near Tokyo City. The paddies sit below the surrounding roads, and accelerating up an embankment towards the road can lift the car into the air. Their rough, uneven terrain also creates plenty of smaller jumps, making it possible to earn three or more air skills while driving through the area.
Another useful location
Your private estate home is another practical place to look for jump opportunities. As with the rice paddies, focus on uneven ground and maintain enough speed to clear the surface rather than simply rolling down a drop.
Higher launches produce stronger skill ratings, with “awesome air” available at the upper end. For the “Earn Three Air Skills” objective in the “Mascot Party” series, however, the rating does not matter. A regular air skill and an ultimate air skill both count, and there are no vehicle restrictions.
Quick method for the Festival Playlist challenge
- Choose any car and travel to the rice paddies around Tokyo City.
- Drive through the uneven paddies or accelerate up an embankment towards the road.
- Keep going until all four wheels leave the ground and the air skill notification appears.
- Repeat the process twice more to complete the three-air-skills requirement.
