In Beast of Reincarnation, charms are Koo’s main equipment. Emma fights with a blade and armour, while Koo uses magical necklaces that can improve attack power, maximum health, critical rate and other abilities.
This guide covers the early charm locations in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone, explains identification and stat rerolls, and lists every primary and secondary effect.

Where to find charms in Beast of Reincarnation
Koo’s equipment menu includes a dedicated charm slot. On the opening map, many charms are hidden in optional areas, although they later become common enemy drops. The following eight locations provide an effective early collection in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone.

Early charm locations in the Ogouchi Buffer Zone
- Collect the charm from a rusted golem in a rice field.
- Search the rusted golem near the large roots.
- Check the rusted golem sitting in front of the small tree with pink blossoms. Picking up this charm triggers an attack.
- Open the rusted container just north of the Upstream campsite.
- From the Cliffside Village: Outskirts campsite, drop into the sewers. Walk east across the rubble, turn right at the first opportunity, and look behind the crates.
- Climb to the higher ledge opposite the previous location.
- Search the wooden crate inside the large tent on the cliff edge.
- Travel west from the Cliffside Village: Outskirts campsite and defeat the elite golem to obtain code 08110. Enter the code into the strongbox in the tent behind the elite golem to receive the charm.
These eight charms make a useful starting set. Before collecting one, consider creating a save so you can reroll its stats. The fourth location is especially convenient for this because it is next to a campsite.
Beginning in the Great Wall Terraces, the game’s third map, defeated enemies can drop charms. Golems are particularly likely to drop them, and there is no need to locate every charm because Koo can equip only one at a time.
Other common sources are:
- Strongboxes
- Toolboxes
- Wooden crates
- Rusted golems and golem remains
- Defeated enemies, especially golems

How to use charms in Beast of Reincarnation
Every charm begins as a “decayed charm”, which means it is unidentified. Visit a campsite and interact with the campfire to identify it; resting at the campsite is not necessary.
Identification gives the charm one primary stat and one secondary effect. Each receives its own random rarity level from 1 to 3. As a result, a charm may have a level 1 attack bonus alongside a level 3 secondary effect, or the reverse combination.
To seek stronger results, save before collecting and identifying a charm. Manual saving requires resting at a campsite. However, when a charm is inside a box near a campsite, you can leave it uncollected, save, then return to collect and identify it repeatedly.
This method does not work reliably for enemy drops. A dropped charm disappears if you log out before collecting it.
