Nintendo will dedicate its next Direct presentation to Fire Emblem: Fortune’s Weave on August 4 at 7 a.m. PT, giving fans a closer look at the upcoming strategy game.
Twenty minutes of new information
The showcase will run for approximately 20 minutes and is expected to expand on the story, characters and setting introduced so far. Nintendo announced the presentation on August 3, leaving only about a day for fans to wait.

What we already know
Information released through the Fire Emblem social-media channels has introduced several characters, their classes and their individual motivations. The accounts have been drip-feeding information, so the Direct could provide a broader look at the game’s world as well as additional character details.

The Dagosian Games and a missing protagonist
Fortune’s Weave centres on the Dagosian Games, where four principal characters compete while representing separate factions. That structure recalls the divided groups of Fire Emblem: Three Houses, although the new game’s broader relationship to that earlier title remains unclear.
Sothis is also confirmed to have an important role. The goddess’s consciousness awakened within Byleth during Three Houses, making her presence in Fortune’s Weave a possible link between the two games.
One significant detail is still being withheld: the player character. They have appeared in key artwork but have not yet been shown in gameplay footage and do not have a revealed name. The upcoming Direct may finally provide more information about this central figure.
