Overwatch is preparing to add D.Mon to its expanding hero roster. Blizzard has shown the first glimpse of the new character and confirmed that a complete reveal is coming later this week, ahead of her launch in Season 4.

Who is D.Mon?

D.Mon, whose real name is Yuna Lee, is part of Korea’s MEKA Squad. Like D.Va, she was an esports professional before becoming a mech pilot and serving with the Korean Mobile Exo-Force during the war against the Gwishin omnics.

The character has already appeared or been referenced in cinematics, cosmetics and comics. Former Overwatch writer Michael Chu previously described her as “tough and protective”. Her mech is called Beast.

D.Mon’s trailer and gameplay details

Blizzard’s brief preview shows D.Mon in combat, apparently facing the mechanised hero Wrecking Ball. The footage offers a short look at Beast in action, but does not yet explain how D.Mon’s abilities will distinguish her from her fellow MEKA pilot, D.Va.

Players can see more in D.Mon’s animated hero trailer, scheduled to premiere on Thursday, August 6, at 9 a.m. PDT / 12 p.m. EDT.

D.Mon is a Tank hero, making her the 15th character in that role. For readers following the wider arcade and gaming news, Blizzard’s ongoing hero rollout is one of the game’s biggest current developments.

The 53rd Overwatch hero

D.Mon was previously teased in artwork released in February, when Blizzard renamed Overwatch 2 to Overwatch. At the same time, the developer promised 10 new heroes during 2026, the franchise’s 10th anniversary year.

She will be the game’s 53rd hero and the eighth new addition of 2026. D.Mon follows Shion and Sierra in the Damage role, Domina as a Tank, Anran and Emre as Damage heroes, and Jetpack Cat and Mizuki as Supports.

D.Mon officially joins the roster on August 11, when Season 4 begins. Players comparing hero-based action with dedicated arcade hardware can also explore RETROCADE’s arcade machines, compact bartop arcades and arcade machine buying guide.
