Polycade has expanded its curated digital game platform with two new titles: the skateboarding adventure Tanuki Sunset and the puzzle game STRIPES. The platform supports both residential and commercial arcade use, giving owners another way to refresh their game selection.

Tanuki Sunset joins the Polycade catalogue
Developed by Rewind Games, Tanuki Sunset puts players behind the wheels of a skateboard-riding raccoon. The game is available through the Polycade portal for $14.99, with the trailer below taken from its Steam and PC release.
Polycade is also hosting the End Of Summer Run 2022 esports competition for Tanuki Sunset. The online event concludes on 19 October 2022, before a live tournament begins on the same day at Pinball Expo 2022 in Illinois.
Visitors to the Polycade booth at Pinball Expo can also compete in a tournament based on Atari’s Missile Command Recharged. Prizes are available in both competitions.
STRIPES receives a timed Polycade debut
STRIPES marks a change for the platform. While Polycade’s earlier content was curated from services such as Steam, this puzzle title was scheduled to be exclusive to Polycade until the following month.
Created in collaboration with Mega Cats Studio, STRIPES challenges players to build the longest stripe across the playfield and pursue the highest score. Its visual concept may remind some players of Pipe Dream on the NES, although the gameplay is easier to assess in motion.
STRIPES is listed on the Polycade store for $5. The timed exclusive is expected to arrive on Steam and GOG the following month, with the Atari VCS also mentioned as a possible platform.
A STRIPES tournament is scheduled for Pinball Expo alongside the other Polycade competitions. Players interested in compact setups can compare options such as bartop arcades, while larger venues may prefer upright arcade cabinets.
More Polycade hardware may be ahead
