Stern Pinball has officially unveiled its James Bond 007 machine after delaying the planned London reveal following the death of Queen Elizabeth II. Early cabinet images that surfaced online were accurate, and the trailer and official game page now provide a closer look.
Four James Bond 007 editions
The range will include Pro, Premium, LE and a special 60th Anniversary LE model, with details of the anniversary edition to be revealed later. Rather than combining several eras of Bond, the initial release is centred entirely on Sean Connery’s portrayal of the character.
What comes with the Pro model?
The Pro playfield includes an Aston Martin DB5 ball ejector, a Spectre Bird One rocket mounted on a spring so it moves during play, and a ball lock mechanism positioned behind the rocket base. Two ramps use wireforms instead of plastic down ramps, while three flippers support the layout.
Audio and video footage from six James Bond films is also included in the game.
Premium adds more Bond hardware
Premium uses artwork inspired by You Only Live Twice and includes all of the Pro model’s features. It also adds a Bond Jetpack mechanism with a magnet and Bond figurine, plus an elevator and surrounding ramp that lead towards the ball lock.
The underwater fight scene is enhanced as well, with a second Bond figurine incorporated into the area. Stern has published a detailed Features Matrix PDF which you can browse here if you are interested.
Limited Edition details
The LE version shares the Premium playfield, but receives distinct artwork and additional features. Production is limited to 1,000 units worldwide.
