Step Revolution has announced that the deluxe Step ManiaX DX arcade cabinet is now shipping, adding a major release to the March arcade calendar. The original Step ManiaX cabinet launched in 2018 and has continued shipping steadily since then.
The DX cabinet was first shown at IAAPA 2022. It runs the same game available on the standard SD model, while expanding the presentation with a larger screen, a more powerful sound system and substantially more LED lighting.
Step ManiaX DX features and pricing
Step ManiaX DX is expected to sell for a competitive price of approximately $12,000–$13,000. Several locations have already placed orders, and the game continues to receive monthly song updates. Its music roster is approaching 400 tracks.
For operators comparing new rhythm-game cabinets with other arcade machines, the DX model offers a larger visual presence while retaining the software and gameplay of the SD version.
