Play Mechanix and Chicago Gaming Company are joining forces on a new pinball machine based on Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction. The project adds another major film licence to a busy pinball market that includes Foo Fighters from Stern, The Godfather from Jersey Jack Pinball and Galactic Tank Force from American Pinball.

Details remain limited, with the announcement currently supported by a teaser trailer and a silhouette of the machine. The image suggests the game will feature a topper, or that a topper will be included with its Limited Edition model.
The machine is being designed by Mark Ritchie, a pinball designer with an extensive history in the industry. His name has not been attached to a new pinball title for some time, making this project a notable return.

Play Mechanix is best known as a Chicago-based video arcade game developer, but the company has previously had a connection with pinball through Big Buck Hunter pinball. Its direct involvement in the design and creation of this machine would represent a first for the company in that specific role.
Chicago Gaming’s website was undergoing an update when the project was announced. Both companies were also scheduled to attend Amusement Expo at the end of March 2023, where the machine was expected to have a strong chance of appearing.
