Two redemption games are currently undergoing location testing: Bay Tek Entertainment’s Toilet Bowl Toss and Smart Industries’ JJ Bot The Avatar. Both remain works in progress, so neither is guaranteed to reach a broad commercial release.

Toilet Bowl Toss by Bay Tek Entertainment
Toilet Bowl Toss uses a deliberately comic presentation rather than pretending to be a conventional sports game. Its play format is familiar: players throw balls at a target, with the target being a realistic toilet bowl fitted with LED lighting.
The concept follows the same tongue-in-cheek style seen in redemption titles such as Shoot The Poop and Stinky Feet. At this stage, the test footage is the main indication of how the game works.
JJ Bot The Avatar from Smart Industries
JJ Bot The Avatar had been testing at selected Dave & Busters venues. Reports suggested that players were responding well, although no performance figures were available to confirm how successful the game had been.
The title has also received a small naming change, with “The Avatar” now added to the end. A character-driven setup like this should attract attention on a busy amusement floor, though the delay before its wider reveal raises the possibility of technical or maintenance considerations.
The footage was recorded at the new Dave & Busters venue in West Des Moines, Iowa. Viewers may need to skip to 5:43 if the video does not begin at the relevant section. Smart Industries is based in West Des Moines, making the local test location a logical choice. More Smart Industries titles could potentially be tested there in future.
Could either game receive a full release?
If either title appears on its manufacturer’s website, that would be a stronger indication of a planned release. IAAPA could provide another important checkpoint: games shown there may be on course for wider distribution, while an absence could indicate that further changes are needed or that development has ended.
JJ Bot The Avatar could also become a Dave & Busters exclusive, as has occurred with other amusement titles. If it performs exceptionally well, similar character-based concepts from other crane manufacturers could begin appearing during 2024.
