LAI Games is preparing to showcase four new arcade titles at IAAPA 2023, the major attractions-industry trade show running in Orlando, Florida, from 14 to 18 November. While the event covers theme parks and other entertainment sectors, it is also an important launch point for new arcade products.

The preview gives only a limited look at the line-up, but it identifies a mixture of video, redemption and coin-operated concepts. For Australian operators and enthusiasts tracking the latest arcade news, here is what has been revealed so far.

Asphalt Moto Blitz DX

The most clearly identified title is Asphalt Moto Blitz DX, a motorcycle-themed arcade game that had already been discussed before this IAAPA preview. A trailer was released ahead of the show, offering the first substantial look at the game.

Its motorcycle format places it among the kind of dedicated driving experiences that can attract attention in entertainment venues. Operators comparing different cabinet styles can also browse RETROCADE’s racing arcade range for context on this broader category.

Demon Tower

The uppermost concept in the preview is Demon Tower, which is a coin pusher rather than an arcade MOBA. Its final name was not confirmed, so the title may still change before or during the show.

With the game’s format now clarified, the teaser provides a more useful indication of its intended place on an arcade floor: a coin-operated attraction rather than a conventional multiplayer video game.

Two more concepts remain under wraps

The second machine shown in the preview appears to be a videmption title. A visible “ticket error” box supports that reading, although it does not prove the game will be limited to ticket redemption. Its description as an “aerial adventure” leaves the control method and gameplay unclear.

One possibility is a pedal-driven design similar in spirit to Prop Cycle or Sky Raiders, where the player physically pedals to move the on-screen vehicle. That remains speculation until LAI Games provides more information.

The remaining concept may be a light-gun or mounted-gun game, but that interpretation is also unconfirmed. LAI Games has previously produced Shooting Mania, which used virtual guns while relying on large buttons for player input.

The phrase “digital & analog seamlessly merge” suggests that the new machine could use a less conventional control system. It could also turn out to be a redemption game with additional digital features rather than a shooting cabinet.

More details expected at IAAPA

At this stage, LAI Games has confirmed the existence of four new games but has disclosed few technical or gameplay details about three of them. The IAAPA floor should provide a clearer look at their controls, cabinet designs and final identities.

Anyone planning a home setup can use RETROCADE’s arcade-machine buying guide to compare the practical differences between dedicated machines and other formats, while arcade machines offer a broader view of available cabinet options.
