UNIS has revealed Bigfoot Mayhem, a new monster-truck driving game designed for linked multiplayer and a much larger presentation than its earlier Bigfoot Crush cabinet.
The Bigfoot licence previously appeared in Bigfoot Crush, a 2020 children’s driving game where players drove over cars while heading towards the finish. The character is the Bigfoot monster truck rather than the legendary hairy creature associated with Western American folklore.
A larger monster-truck cabinet
Bigfoot Mayhem moves into a substantially bigger cabinet styled around the monster-truck theme. Its design includes a moulded truck rear, a motion base and a roll cage, creating a more substantial physical setup than the earlier release.
The machine also uses two 65-inch screens, a layout previously seen in Raw Thrills’ Fast & Furious Arcade. With four units able to link together, it is aimed at group play as well as solo driving. Race, wreck and chase high scores
The announced gameplay is divided into two main modes and two additional bonus modes. Race Mode provides the straightforward competition, while Mayhem Mode turns the event into a timed score attack.
Mayhem Mode offers three distinct stage layouts, with as many as four trucks competing during a two-minute session. Players can earn points through jumps and flips, destroy objects around the course and complete events while pursuing the top score.
Bonus modes
- King of the Hill: Hold the hill for a limited period to collect bonus points.
- Capture the Flag: Take the flag and move through the action without hitting rival trucks to secure bonus points.

UNIS had not explained how the bonus modes fit into the overall structure. It remained unclear whether they appear after a race, form part of a main event, depend on the selected primary mode or operate as separate choices.
Pricing was also not provided; prospective buyers need to contact a UNIS distributor. The game was scheduled to debut at IAAPA 2023, where further information about its operation and commercial details was expected.
