Amusement Expo 2024 delivered a broad look at upcoming arcade, redemption, racing, shooting and immersive entertainment products. This second booth-tour roundup completes the main tour coverage, while several individual game features remain to come.

Alongside the filmed booths, this report includes conversations with companies that did not have arcade machines available to film. Their products may still interest arcade operators, technicians and venue managers. More event footage is available on YouTube, where you can so subscribe there if you want to see more.

For another perspective on the show, here is Retro Ralph’s Amusement Expo 2024 coverage:

Amusement Expo 2024 booth tours

The tour begins with TouchMagix and Amusement Source International before moving through the remaining exhibitors alphabetically. Several displays were smaller versions of setups previously seen at IAAPA 2023, although a number of companies brought notable changes and new products.

TouchMagix

TouchMagix presented a smaller booth than at IAAPA, so a dedicated video provides the best look. Its new material included a casino-themed version of MegaBlaster and the previously announced collaboration with Pudgy Penguins.

Amusement Source International

Amusement Source International occupied a more spacious area than at IAAPA and combined familiar titles with new attractions. Thunder Attack was the main surprise, while another previously unreported shooter appears towards the end of the coverage.

Andamiro USA

Andamiro introduced three new games at the show: Krazy Ballz, Tic Tac Toe Basketball and Wacky Racers. Its presentation was one of the clearer examples of a booth adding fresh content rather than simply repeating the earlier IAAPA display.

Bay Tek Entertainment

Bay Tek once again had a particularly large presence, including a smaller version of the football attraction Tundra Toss. This was also the first show after the MajorMega purchase became official. The MajorMega product shown was the SpongeBob VR game.

Coastal Amusements

Coastal Amusements made several changes compared with IAAPA. SlideUp returned, and a new redemption game appeared that seems designed to complement the company’s popular Snow Day redemption title.

Elaut USA, Coast-To-Coast and Benchmark

Elaut USA incorporates Coast-To-Coast Entertainment and Benchmark Games International. Benchmark displayed three versions of Alley Hoops, a basketball video game, while Coast-To-Coast brought Nitro Speed, a racing attraction with similarities to Hot Wheels.

Coast-To-Coast has also been testing Prize Station Extreme, a very large crane attraction that requires substantial ceiling height. It was not seen at this booth, or may have been overlooked among the other crane machines. You can view the Prize Station Extreme video for a closer look.

exA-Arcadia

There was no full booth video for exA-Arcadia on this occasion, but individual game footage was captured. Some filmed titles were scheduled for later reveals at two events in April, covering both shoot ’em ups and fighting games, so those games remained under wraps at the time.

Further exA-Arcadia coverage was also planned, including features from the ARC-1 cabinet and DoDonPachi True Death EXA LABEL running in proper TATE orientation.

IGPM Group

IGPM debuted a boxing machine carrying the Power Slap brand. Its punching bag differs slightly from the usual design, although the basic play format remains familiar. Other boxing attractions included the MMA Boxer, which originally debuted at IAAPA 2023.

Inowize

Inowize had a new title for its QBIX immersive game room system: Chef Express. Players take the role of contestants on a cooking show, responding to the judge’s requests by finding ingredients and preparing them correctly around the room.

The hands-on experience offered a refreshing alternative to more conventional VR-style attractions. The main practical difficulty was maintaining enough distance from the walls while moving quickly through the game area.

JET Games USA

JET Games USA presented a condensed version of its IAAPA line-up, along with the production model of Mega Shot. The game was shipping at the time of the show and was described as essentially available, although a container was reportedly still in transit. Further details were awaiting confirmation from JET.

Metaagrow

Metaagrow did not have arcade machines to film, but demonstrated a management system aimed at operators and technicians. A live demonstration showed tools for monitoring machines, coordinating technicians and handling multiple route locations.

The system also lets customers report problems with machines, adding a useful service channel for venues. That kind of centralised approach can be valuable for operators managing several locations or large teams of technicians. Visit Metaagrow for more information.

UNIS

UNIS brought several changes from IAAPA, including a playable version of Godzilla Vs. Kong Smasher. The whacker-style game adds a competitive health-bar mechanic: players attack an opponent while attempting to reduce their health. That extra layer made the concept more compelling, and the cabinet also made a strong visual impression.

The booth also included Bigfoot Mayhem, which was not played during this visit, a new Addams Family redemption game, numerous crane attractions and a Funko Pop-branded version of Over The Edge.

Final thoughts

That brings the main Amusement Expo 2024 booth tours close to completion, although additional individual product coverage remains. For more arcade-industry news, explore the RETROCADE Arcade Blog, or compare the show’s commercial attractions with our arcade machine buying guide.
