Raw Thrills has announced Series 3 for Minecraft Dungeons Arcade, expanding the collectible card system and introducing a new premium card type called Hero Cards. The update follows the appearance of the 2-player Dungeons Arcade cabinet at Amusement Expo 2024.
Minecraft Dungeons Arcade Series 3: The Hero Update
The original release, Series 1, included 60 cards. Series 2 arrived towards the end of 2022, increasing the collection to 98 cards and adding the Hidden Depths level. Series 3 takes the total to 118 cards and introduces the Hero category.
The new promotional material also features Raw Thrills’ two-player cabinet, which is now being sold. The machine gives arcade operators another way to present the cooperative dungeon-crawling experience.
What are Hero Cards?
Each Hero Card combines five powerful items on a single card. Scanning one automatically fills all five player loadout slots: Melee, Range, Armor, Skin and Pet.
Hero Cards use holographic effects with gold foil accents. They are already shipping, and operators ordering a box or case receive a complimentary upgrade kit. The kit contains a software-update USB, a new Series 3 translite and a voucher for a free Series 3 promotional banner.
The software update is scheduled to download automatically to online-connected Minecraft Dungeons Arcade units in mid-April 2024. Players have a one-in-ten chance of receiving a Hero Card each time they press Start.
Series 1 and Series 2 cards remain compatible, so players can continue creating and refining their characters with the existing card pool.
Is a new level included?
The Series 3 announcement did not confirm a new level. The cabinet had unused level slots following the Series 2 update, which added Hidden Depths, but Raw Thrills has clarified that a new level is being developed and will not launch with this update.

A direct capture of the new level will follow once that content becomes available. For now, Series 3 adds a substantial card-collection expansion and a distinctive new reward system to Raw Thrills’ Minecraft arcade platform.
