Quarter Drop Arcade — Cottage Grove, Oregon
Quarter Drop Arcade opened in Cottage Grove after a year of public build-up and regular updates from its team. A local report from the Eugene Register-Guard and the venue’s opening video provide a look inside.
Bandai Namco Cross Store — Brooklyn, New York
Bandai Namco’s Cross Store format combines the company’s merchandise and entertainment businesses. The Brooklyn flagship is especially notable because it includes more arcade content than the London location, including the first official Western arcade appearance of the Gundam Extreme VS series, albeit offline.
New bar arcades and lounges
Game On Arcade & Bar in Lafayette, Indiana opened a couple of months earlier and has received a positive local report. Game Time Sports Bar & Arcade — Minneapolis, Minnesota
This Minneapolis venue adds arcade games to a sports-bar setting. Its selection includes Midway’s Blitz 99 and a Donkey Kong machine installed in a converted Sega cabinet.
Rhythm Lounge — Detroit, Michigan
Rhythm Lounge opened beside Varcade PvP Arena and the Sparks Pinball Museum, creating a sister venue devoted to rhythm games. A collaboration between Psychic Drive and Thunderdome Game Center helped assemble uncommon titles including Para Para Paradise and Sega’s Flash Beats.
Free Play Bar Arcade #3 — Taunton, Massachusetts
Taunton is the third Free Play Bar Arcade location, following venues in Providence and Worcester. Its soft opening was scheduled for the day after the report, with the venue promising classic and newer arcade games, imported rhythm titles and a substantial pinball selection. Q25 Arcade Lounge — Lodi, California
Q25 Arcade Lounge has 35 games and operates as an over-21 venue because alcohol is served. Its advertised line-up includes pinball, skee-ball, Ms. Pac-Man, Street Fighter and classic Atari games.

- The fourth Denver-area 1UP Arcade Bar opened with 55 games spanning retro and modern releases.
- Night City Arcade in Volo, Illinois focuses on imported rhythm cabinets including Maimai, Jubeat and DanceDanceRevolution.
- Gamescape at Cinemark in El Paso is a large, contemporary cinema arcade featuring redemption games, F&F Arcade, Air Strike, Jurassic Park and Asphalt Moto Blitz DX.
- River City Arcade in Danville, Virginia opened in late 2024 after permit and zoning delays. The free-play venue has 45 games.
- Ikigai Arcade in Pittsburgh specialises in newer imports such as Beatmania IIDX and Wacca, alongside Densha De Go and UFO catchers.
- Select Start in Winnipeg combines a bar setting with Japanese-inspired design and includes the US version of Mario Kart Arcade GP DX.

February’s wider North American developments included new or refreshed venues from Dave & Buster’s, Round1USA, Main Event, FEG, Crane Arcade, Knotts Berry Farm, NxGn Arena, Splitsville and PINSTACK. Round1 updates covered Humble, Chandler and Elizabeth, while Main Event opened in Montclair, California. A San Antonio venue also introduced a crane-focused arcade concept featuring DragonClaw.

The United Kingdom supplied most of this month’s European openings, with free-play venues built around large modern arcade experiences.
The Arcade Warehouse #5 — Gainsborough, England
The Arcade Warehouse opened its fifth site in January. The group’s locations are concentrated broadly in the same part of England, which may simplify maintenance. Insanity Gaming Arcade #2 — Newton Abbot, England
The second Insanity Gaming Arcade is a sister venue to the original in Poole. Its line-up includes House of the Dead, Point Blank 2, Time Crisis II, OutRun 2 SP, F355 Challenge, Dead or Alive, Golden Tee and Donkey Kong Jr.
Freeplay Gaming Arcade — Portland, England
Freeplay Gaming Arcade opened on the Isle of Portland under separate ownership from the similarly named Taunton business. The venue has been covered by the Dorset Echo, with further information available through its website.
GAMM Game Museum — Rome, Italy
GAMM Game Museum, which began opening in December 2024, is not a conventional arcade but includes a dedicated coin-operated gaming room. The collection ranges from classic machines to newer hardware, including a Namco Noir running Tekken Tag Tournament 2.
European venue updates
Other reported developments included Urban Fun Reading, Buzz Swansea, F.A Entertainment, the reopening of Llandudno Pier & Arcade after storm damage, Airtastic Entertainment Centre in Northern Ireland and Nikito Franconville near Paris. Hollywood Bowl also began 2025 with strong financial results, although several mini-golf projects did not proceed as planned.
Asia, the Middle East and Oceania
Game Chubu — Toyama, Japan
Game Chubu is a small independent venue open on Saturdays. Its dozen-game line-up includes Gradius III and Gradius IV, Tatsujin, games from The Tetris Grand Master series and several exA-Arcadia releases: Cambria Sword AC, Batsugun EXA Label Ver 1.5, Dodonpachi Saidaioujou EXA Label, Touhou Perfect Sakura Fantastica, Touhou Scarlet Diablo, P-47 ACES Mk. II and Donut Dodo Do.
MotorGeeks — Yokohama, Japan
MotorGeeks is a racing-focused bar and café. Its simulator offering is complemented by Taito’s Battle Gear 4, using a fan-made revival server. The venue provides a Japanese counterpart to racing-focused destinations such as F1 Arcade.
Toys Arcade — Incheon, South Korea
Toys Arcade features a small number of cranes, a Raizing Storm cabinet and rows of Viewlix-style cabinets. Some cabinets appear official while others may be reproduction units, and available reports question whether all machines are running officially licensed software.
TimeZone — Agartala, India and Bekasi, Indonesia
TimeZone opened at Polo Mall in Agartala while continuing its Indonesian expansion with a second Bekasi location at Grand Wisata. The latter includes attractions and newer arcade releases such as Maimai DX Prism and Animal Kaiser Plus.

Taito opened a Bootverse sportainment venue in Tama City and reopened Taito Station Aeon Mall Kushiro as “Taito Stadium”. Other announcements covered HARE Hep Five’s temporary candy-cab corner in Osaka, GiGO’s art-inspired Kawagoe concept, two new Taito Stations in Hong Kong, a Wahlap flagship, a Cross Store-style shop, DREAMFUNS Baby King in Tongzhou, and Masti Zone venues in Mohali, Noida and Kharar.
In Australia, 1UP Arcade Australia announced its closure after eight years of operation.
