exA-Arcadia is expanding its current fighting-game line-up, with Chaos Code Nemesis Experiment entering testing in Japan and Axel City 2: The Final Storm now open for pre-orders.
Chaos Code Nemesis Experiment enters testing
F K Digital’s sequel, also referred to as Chaos Code NEXT, is now on test in Japan. The earlier Chaos Code EXA has not received the console release some players once expected, and the new instalment remains exclusive to arcade hardware.
The game includes 16 characters, Story and Training modes, two frames of input lag and upgraded visuals. Its stated design goal is to put fighting-game players first, without modern shortcuts or compromises.
F K Digital is also promoting the test by including move lists online, giving prospective players more information before the game reaches a wider arcade audience. Thanks to Arcade Belgium for finding that.
Axel City 2: The Final Storm pre-orders open
Axel City 2: The Final Storm follows an earlier location test and is now available to pre-order. The original Axel City 2 launched in 2023 and has reportedly performed strongly in Japan and the United States, based on feedback from third-party operators.
There have even been reports from Japan of the game earning more than Street Fighter VI: Type Arcade. That level of operator interest has helped lead to this substantial content update.
The update adds 10 fighters, six stages and further balance changes. Like Chaos Code Nemesis Experiment, it is fully arcade-exclusive, with no PC or console version available. For operators seeking games that players cannot simply access at home, that distinction remains significant when choosing new arcade machines.
Existing owners of Axel City 2 also have an upgrade path. exA-Arcadia is offering an upgrade that requires the owner to pay a fee and send in the original cartridge. The replacement package includes an updated cartridge and new artwork, with the returned kit differing slightly from the version shown in the promotional material.
The game is scheduled to be available next month. Once both releases are in service, exA-Arcadia’s arcade fighting-game catalogue will reach 12 titles, with further fighters already indicated through recent EVO events.

Both games are aimed at venues looking for current competitive software with an arcade-only point of difference. Operators planning a new upright arcade installation can also consider practical requirements such as controls, displays and replacement arcade parts before committing to a machine.
