Nintendo has revealed a new feature for its Nintendo Switch 2 remake of The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time: the Hall of Fallen Foes. The museum-style collection will display enemies defeated during the adventure and add new ways to revisit major battles.

A new museum for defeated enemies

The Hall of Fallen Foes presents statues of monsters that Link has overcome, with each display accompanied by a placard containing information about the creature. The feature gives the remake a dedicated bestiary while offering players another reason to explore Hyrule thoroughly.

Powerful enemies, including dungeon bosses, can also be challenged again from the hall. Nintendo’s overview video shows King Dodongo as one example, allowing players to practise the fight and chase a faster personal time.

How it compares with earlier versions

The Nintendo 3DS remake of Ocarina of Time previously included a Boss Challenge mode. The Switch 2 version appears to expand that idea into a broader collection that combines enemy information, display pieces and repeat boss battles.

Nintendo’s extended presentation also previews the remake’s dungeons, bosses and non-player characters. Viewers can spot enemies such as Gohma and Volvagia, along with other important characters, so anyone avoiding spoilers may want to approach the almost five-minute overview carefully.

Release date and remake upgrades

The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time is scheduled to launch on Nintendo Switch 2 on 5 November 2026. Alongside the Hall of Fallen Foes, the remake features updated visuals, streamlined controls, Zelda Notes and enhanced support for the ocarina.

The new presentation offers a closer look at how Nintendo has reworked the nearly 28-year-old Nintendo 64 classic. The Hall of Fallen Foes should be particularly appealing to collectors and completionists, while the rematch option gives experienced players a practical way to improve their skills.
