A possible Fairgames playtest has surfaced online, potentially revealing the first gameplay from PlayStation’s long-awaited multiplayer heist shooter in more than three years.
Is Project Espresso actually Fairgames?
On September 10, a user posted on the Gaming Leaks And Rumors subreddit after receiving an invitation to test a game that appeared to match Fairgames. The invitation pointed towards something codenamed “Project Espresso.”
A video hosted on the playtest page appeared to show a third-person multiplayer action game. Its description also closely matched the premise previously announced for Fairgames: teams cooperate and compete while breaking into secure locations to steal valuable loot.
“Project Espresso is a third-person PVPVE competitive action game where competing teams race to infiltrate high-security locations, steal valuable cargo, and make it out before their rivals.”
The video has since reportedly disappeared from the playtest page. Before it was removed or disabled, its footage was seen and appeared consistent with a clip shared by Radec on Twitter.

What is known about the game’s development?
There is still no confirmation that the playtest or its footage belongs to Fairgames. However, the Project Espresso description and the apparent footage both align with the live-service shooter first revealed in 2023, which has not received another public gameplay showing since.
