Two Nintendo Direct presentations are scheduled this week, and a fresh wave of unconfirmed reports is circulating before the company reveals its plans. This time, several names are joining the discussion.
A new Nintendo leaker makes major claims
Malo932 has emerged as a new source of Nintendo rumours. The account previously predicted a “classic” Star Fox game and a Zelda: Ocarina of Time remake for 2026, claims later repeated by NateTheHate. Malo932 also forecast two Nintendo Direct presentations before they were officially announced. You can also made those claims.
The latest reports, shared in YouTube comments, point to a new Super Smash Bros. instalment and the return of Nintendogs. The alleged Smash Bros. project is said to be a completely new game rather than a port of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate. The big ones have attracted attention because of the source’s earlier predictions.
More games allegedly planned for 2027
Earlier claims attributed to Malo932 include a pixel-art remake of Super Metroid, a new Wario Land and a new 3D Mario adventure. The latter is hardly an unexpected possibility, but the account’s earlier predictions back in March placed all three releases in 2027.
Another rumour concerns downloadable content for Mario Kart World. Malo932 claimed that 2027 could bring DLC featuring Fox, while also suggesting that Fox McCloud will star in a new Star Fox adventure. The post framed the timing as dependent on development and argued that a successful 2026 Star Fox release would make further content a logical choice.
These reports remain unconfirmed, much like many rumours discussed in the wider arcade and gaming news space.
Luigi’s Mansion 4 enters the rumour cycle
Malo932 is not the only insider making claims. NecroFelipe teased a possible Luigi’s Mansion 4, joking that Malo932 had forgotten Mario’s brother and his flashlight. The account then wrote on X that the fourth game should not take too long to arrive.
However, NecroFelipe later urged readers not to expect every Malo932 claim to appear immediately in the next presentation. The account ollowed it up with a warning that the Direct should not be treated as a checklist for all the circulating reports.
Why the source has now raised eyebrows
Malo932 has since deleted all of the recent YouTube comments and changed the display name to “stop”. That sudden change has prompted speculation about whether too much information was posted, whether the account’s online activity could reveal its identity, or whether the source will ultimately prove unreliable.
The reality should become clearer soon. A dedicated Zelda Direct is scheduled for September 8, followed by a general pre-holiday Nintendo Direct on September 9. At minimum, viewers are expected to see the first trailer for Nintendo’s upcoming live-action Zelda film, a prediction that didn’t need an insider to make.
