God Valley arrives first
Revealed during the One Piece Day ’26 celebrations, One Piece Film God Valley will explore one of the most closely guarded events in the series’ history. The film is expected to adapt the manga’s God Valley material, offering a prequel focused on the infamous incident and its wider place in the franchise’s lore.
The project also connects with the Elbaph arc, which the anime is currently adapting. Its 2027 window is particularly significant because the One Piece manga will reach its 30th anniversary around the same period. The manga was first published on July 22, 1997.

Baad is set for 2029
Little is known about One Piece Film Baad at this stage, but its 2029 cinema release will coincide with the anime’s 30th anniversary. The television series premiered on October 20, 1999, giving the second film a clear anniversary role.
There is still three years to go before Baad reaches theatres, leaving plenty of time for details about its story and production to emerge. An official English-language YouTube trailer has teased similar release windows, although Western dates have not been confirmed and may follow the Japanese schedule later.
God Valley is due to open in Japanese cinemas first in summer 2027. Until then, viewers can continue with the anime or watch the live-action Netflix series, whose third season cast includes Emilio Sakraya as Koza, Jamie Ward as Pell, Nabeel Khan as Chaka and Omid Abtahi as Toto.
