Make more of every day in Fields of Mistria
Fields of Mistria combines farming, mining, fishing, foraging and relationships, but its in-game days can disappear quickly. You might reach a deep mine level, spot new goods in the general store or finally work up the courage to speak with Valen just as the evening bell signals bedtime.
The 1.0 release has also made modding more accessible, with the game’s files easier to locate than in earlier versions. That has produced several useful options for players who want to spend less time watching the clock or walking between locations. Advanced Time Controls puts the clock in your hands
The most versatile option is Advanced Time Controls, created by annanomoly. It adds an in-game menu with a dial for changing how quickly the day passes.
Fields of Mistria already offers several day-length settings, but they are fairly restrained. The longest built-in option extends your day to fifteen minutes, compared with the normal twelve and a half minutes. Advanced Time Controls allows speeds of up to 500%, a half-speed setting and a 0% option that freezes time completely. Its controls are available from an in-game menu just a tab away from the outfit screen.
Another way to adjust the day
Time of Mistria provides a similar solution. It has received updates less recently, however, so players should be prepared to remove and reinstall it if it begins behaving unpredictably.
Useful mods for avoiding backtracking
Two other popular options do not stop the clock, but they address the travel that can consume much of a day. Save Anywhere, also made by annanomoly, lets you quicksave by pressing the Home button wherever you are. You no longer need to return to the farmhouse solely to save progress.
Access Storage Anywhere, made by BigManViggo, lets you organise and use your storage chests from anywhere on Mistria’s map. That is handy before an unplanned trip to the mines, when emptying your pockets can prevent a return journey.

Install with a save-backup routine
All of these time-saving mods require the Mods of Mistria Installer, or MOMI. Back up your save before testing any modification, then try additions individually so compatibility or stability problems are easier to identify.
Other quality-of-life changes
The mod options extend beyond time management. Flowy Hair by sunberns changes the player character’s hairstyle. Meanwhile, Just Janes QoL Options by Jane1986 includes a small movement-speed increase.
Whether you pause the clock, slow it down or accelerate it, these tools leave more time for farm work, animal care, gift hunting and exploration. Fields of Mistria is available on PC through Steam and has full Steam Deck support.
